Gunmen in Pakistan kill aid workers
10/03/2010A group of gunmen stormed a Christian aid agency killing at least five people and injuring others, Reuters reported Wednesday (March 10th). All the victims are Pakistani, said a local police official. The attack took place in a village about 80 km north of Islamabad. The 10 suspected Islamist extremists gathered everyone together, sat them on the floor and demanded that hostages give up their phones, identification cards and personal effects. The gunmen opened fire on the victims, killing two women. All were employees of World Vision, an international Christian relief organisation that had been helping survivors of the devastating 2005 earthquake.
