Brilliant Egyptian victory in opening match of FIFA U-20 World Cup

EGYPT — Egypt scored a 4-1 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in the opening match of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, despite the latter team's aggressive strategy. The match began slowly for Egypt, with the team missing out on several opportunities, but the Young Pharaohs managed to turn the tables and score multiple goals later in the game.

Feeling pressure from their fans, the Egyptian team missed numerous passes. Team coach Miroslav Soukup justified his team's performance in the first half of the match, however, saying that it was the first time that his team had played in such a hot climate. He went on to say that he was proud of his team's ability to overcome adversity and win the match.

According to

Hussam Arafat scored the second and fourth goals of the match for the Egyptian team, while rising star Mohammed Talaat scored the third goal. Jean Rochford scored the only goal for Trinidad and Tobago's team. The Egyptian team delivered a solid performance and easily concluded the match despite Trinidad and Tobago's unique and outstanding performance.

Egypt's goals were as superb as the opening ceremony that preceded the match, which included a fireworks display and laser light show to welcome the 24 participating teams. The opening ceremony was attended by Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak and FIFA President Joseph Blatter.
