Iran will negotiate with the international community about its uranium enrichment program if other countries stop making threats, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad said in an interview with AFP on Friday (December 18th). "Everything is possible," he said. "But not in a climate where they threaten us. They have to change their vocabulary, show respect and act according to law," the president said. The situation is "going backwards". The IAEA demanded Iran halt all enrichment until the processing issue is worked out. Iran responded with mixed messages, pledging both unilateral action and a willingness to compromise.
