The Yemeni army said Thursday (December 31st) that it has freed 67 people from the hands of Houthi rebels during a crackdown in northern Yemen, the ruling People's Congress Party reported on its website. The 67 hostages were held by gunmen in the basement of a hotel called Sharm El-Sheikh Hotel in the area of Dahian in Saada province.
According to the report, the 67 people managed to escape from captivity after the army carried out a series of attacks on the hotel guards and killed them.
