Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed al-Maktoum officially inaugurated the world's tallest building, standing at 828 metres tall, on Monday (January 4th), Al Arabiya reported Tuesday. What was to be called "Burj Dubai," or the Dubai Tower, was given a name change and will henceforth be known as the "Burj Khalifa" after the UAE President and ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahayan. The president helped arrange a bailout for Dubai, now facing a real estate crash and heavy debts.
