Envoys from six world powers are meeting on Saturday (January 16th) to discuss possible new sanctions on Iran for its unilateral nuclear activity, Al-Arabiya reported. Britain, France, Germany, Russia and the United States are sending top officials from their foreign ministries, but China is sending a low-ranking bureaucrat. The group constitutes the five veto-wielding members of the UN Security Council and Germany. Over the coming months, the diplomats will discuss ways to pressure the Iranian regime to comply with IAEA regulations.
