A series of suicide bombings targeted hotels in the middle of Baghdad on Monday (January 25th). At least 36 people were killed and dozens injured, Al Jazeera reported. Reports are conflicting, but it appears that one blast targeted the Sheraton hotel, while another struck the Babylon hotel. A third bombing reportedly targeted the Palestine Hotel. Concrete blast walls surrounding the Sheraton toppled during the explosion, BBC News reported. The hotels host international agencies, foreign journalists and government offices.
