Iran has arrested a Kurdish suspect for the recent murder of a state prosecutor in the western city of Khoy, BBC News reported Wednesday (January 27th). The arrest came following clashes with Kurdish separatist guerrillas in Iran's northeastern border region. Several Kurds were reportedly killed and one arrested.
The Iranian government is blaming the Free Life Party of Kurdistan for the January 18th assassination of Khoy state prosecutor Vali Hajgholizadeh outside his home. Another four men were arrested in connection with the shooting last week.
