Lebanese man shoots sister in honour killing
A Lebanese man was arrested in a northern village for killing his sister to redeem what he believed to be the family's tarnished honour, AFP reported Friday (March 12th). "The 24-year-old victim was single and apparently had a boyfriend," a security source told the agency. The brother, 28, confessed to shooting his sister twice in the head. Her corpse was found on the main road of Hakr al-Daheri village. There are a few such killings every year, said the security official.
