After six years of war, and 250,000 people displaced by the fighting, the Yemeni government is no longer battling the northern Houthi rebels, President Ali Abdullah Saleh told Al Arabiya Friday (March 19th). The ceasefire announced February 12th is still holding, Saleh said, and is a "sign that the war has ended and that this is not just a passing truce." The president reiterated his offer of dialogue with Yemen's southern separatists.
