Mubarak informs PM of pending return to Egypt
President Hosni Mubarak told his prime minister, Ahmad Nazif, that he is expecting to return to Cairo at the end of next week, Al Hayat reported Saturday (March 20th). Video footage of Mubarak, still in a German hospital recovering from gallbladder surgery, was shown on state television while speaking on the phone to Nazif and other senior officials. The images were shown amidst rumours in the Egyptian media about Mubarak's actual state of health. State-run mosques around Egypt offered prayers on Friday for Mubarak.
