Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood is scheduled to meet with leaders from the leftist El Tagammu Party in a rare conference between the two political entities with seemingly contrary agendas, The National reported Wednesday (March 31st). The meeting follows preliminary discussions earlier in the week to develop a coherent opposition to President Hosni Mubarak’s ruling National Democratic Party. The momentum is being led by former IAEA chief Mohammed ElBaradei, who is using his popularity to spur reform and a more effective opposition.
