Business leaders discuss how to keep Emirati employees
An Abu Dhabi forum that has attracted more than 200 business leaders is looking at ways to keep Emirati employees, The National reported Sunday (May 30th).
Participants at the two-day Emiratisation Forum pointed to a study that found that 60% of Emirati nationals working in the private sector had left their jobs last year alone.
The primary reasons given were a lack of sufficient progress in their career, lack of suitable mentoring and managerial insensitivity.
"Company culture is important, and has to be aware of the sensitivities of UAE nationals," said Omar Bamadhaf, an official at the Department of Civil Services.
