The Dubai Islamic Bank is facing charges of fraud in a Bahraini court after four businessmen filed suit, news media reported Thursday (June 3rd).
The bank countered by filing suit in Dubai and charging the defendants with wrongfully securing a loan against their asset, the Dubai-based property developer Plantation Holdings. The lawsuit is worth more than $500 million.
A Bahraini judge is scheduled to rule on June 14th.
