Iraqi officials are proposing to build a commercial village next to Baghdad’s airport, Reuters reported on Wednesday (July 28th).
The business zone will take up to five years to complete and will cost an estimated $250 million.
It will host branches of government, including investment commissions and ministries to facilitate business activity, said Shaker al-Zamili, head of the Baghdad Investment Commission.
Companies will be able to rent space to display their products, al-Zamili added.
