New oil field in Dubai to begin production next year
A newly discovered oilfield off the coast of Dubai will begin production next year, the Khaleej Times reported Friday (February 5th). The Al-Jalilah oilfield was recently discovered east of the Rashid field. It is estimated that the field will be the fifth largest producer in the Emirates. Al-Jalilah is named after the daughter of Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.
