Former IAEA chief and possible presidential candidate Mohammed ElBaradei denounced the beating of one of his supporters, AP reported Thursday (March 11th). State security agents reportedly arrested and beat Taha Abdel-Tawab in the province of Fayoum after he organised a rally in support of reform supporter ElBaradei. Abdel-Tawab's lawyer said he was also locked up for hours without being charged. ElBaradei said in a statement to AP that such actions violate international law and that Egyptian reformists would not be intimidated.
