The state-owned Saudi Arabian Airlines is increasing the number of foreign and domestic flights as part of a large-scale plan to improve services, Arab News reported Thursday (September 2nd).
The carrier is offering more flights between Jeddah and Riyadh in addition to destinations across Europe, said Khaled al-Molhem, the airline’s director general.
The airline has seen a 20% increase in passengers to Europe in the first six months of 2010 compared with the same period in 2009, al-Molhem added. More flights will be available to major destinations in the Middle East including Beirut, Bahrain, Doha and Amman.
The increase in flight frequency follows the delivery of 82 new Airbus and Boeing aircraft, which have already begun service.
