Egypt's Supreme Energy Council is studying the possibility of importing natural gas from Iraq and Qatar to meet local demand, Al Masry Al Youm reported on Thursday, (September 2nd). The move would allow Egypt to meet its targets for growth, the paper reported.

While Egypt’s industrial growth rate stands at 8%, the natural-gas sector growth rate is only 6%. The council has assigned the ministries of foreign affairs, petroleum and industry with forming recommendations on importing natural gas, whether through the government or private sector.

What a shame!! Egypt is one of the major countries exporting natural gas, while now you are studying importing gas; how come?! God is sufficient!! It seems that the government and the regime are very much aware of the concerns of the citizens and for their welfare! May God make you an example to others soon!

It is a strange thing to export gas to Israel for the cheapest prices, and then look import gas. It is really strange.
