Suspected al-Qaeda operative, Salah al-Damani, was among nine people arrested by Yemeni security forces in connection with recent attacks on armed forces in the south, the Defence Ministry said on its website Friday (September 3rd).
The ministry described al-Damani as "one of the dangerous elements of al-Qaeda wanted by the security forces."
Yemeni forces also arrested a suspected al-Qaeda operative, identified as Mr. Aidha, in Lawder on Friday, AFP reported. Seven more suspects were also detained this week in Lawder.
