The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Monday (September 6th) that it was unable to make progress investigating nuclear activity in Syria because of stonewalling on the ground.
An IAEA report said that Damascus has resisted co-operation with the agency since June 2008, and "as a consequence, the agency has not been able to make progress toward resolving the outstanding issues" related to Dair Azour and three other sites.
The IAEA also said it found "significant" traces of man-made uranium at Dair Azour site. The Syrian government has not yet commented on the report.
