Ryad al-Saray, a well-known Iraqi television presenter, was killed by unknown gunmen on Tuesday (September 7th) as he was driving his car in Baghdad's Mansour neighbourhood, wire services reported.
Al-Saray was on his way to Karbala, according to his colleague Ahmed al-Mullah. Traffic police did not hear gunshots, but saw al-Saray's car veer off the road and crash.
Al-Saray, 35, was a lawyer who joined Al-Iraqiya Television in 2005 as a presenter for both political and religious programmes.
